![]() ![]() ![]() Personally, I don't hope that these movies are deleted from the Star Wars universe. Disney should have realized this before they threw away the direction Lucas left for them to follow. Like it or not, for better or worse, these stories and the movies made from them are best when they are in his hands. This isn't George Lucas' Star Wars, which IS the wheel that needed to be kept going. The sequels, on the other hand, are a collection of great characters and cinematography coupled with badly interpreted lore, worse storytelling, and painfully cringe self-awareness/self-seriousness. ![]() They just kept the wheel going and filled in the gap with backstory. Even Solo and Rogue One were better films because they weren't trying to rehash (TFA) or reinvent (TLJ) the wheel. When I got to the sequel trilogy everything about my viewing experience took a nosedive. I've just spent a month or so binge watching the entire saga, from The Phantom Menace through to The Rise of Skywalker, including The Clone Wars, Solo, Rebels, Rogue One, and The Mandalorian. Me? I cannot get behind the sequel trilogy. That's the beauty in the freedom of thinking for yourself. You don't have to agree with people who hold different opinions. And you will always be able to enjoy them yourself regardless of what others think. There are no doubt others who share your enthusiasm. If you like the sequel trilogy then more power to you. There's nothing wrong with liking what you like. If other people's opinions and statements about the sequels, or any of the movies for that matter, is making it hard for you to be a Star Wars fan then maybe you should re-evaluate your own fandom or reconsider how much time you spend discussing the movies with other fans. I think it's infinitely more likely that we will get a Filoni animated show like the Clone Wars to help define the Sequel Trilogy. not only is there the issue that a majority of Star Wars fans can atleast stomach the sequels, but none of the OT cast would return to new movies, so they kind of have to keep them. New video just came out where he said that Lucasfilm plans on making the Sequels an alternate universe ( a la Elsewords from DC). He used to love Dave Filoni, but a couple days ago Filoni made a presentation and literally just supported that Rey has a place in Star Wars and I couldn't believe how fast a Fandom can turn on someone. behind his statements and IMO seems pretty toxic. which wouldn't necessarily be a problem, but Overlord DVD has a lot. I watch a variety of channels on YouTube, and many channels end up in my recommended videos and many of these are clickbaity. ![]()
