Being able to cycle though so many of the most famous personalities in Battletech, being able to meet or fight so many famous Mechwarriors and drop so many easter eggs, it was awesome. As much as I love the Clan Invasion and a chance to fight in the Battle of Tukayyid, the devs set this game in the right era. I need a sequel and if/when it does arrive I hope they don't just jump straight to the Clans but build up to 3050. The new mech, the Bull Shark, is a 95-ton behemoth with a look that fits right in with the rest of the classic machines in the expansion. If Harebrained Schemes had more time and budget to actually make custom maps for each Flashpoint mission, lengthen them out, and put even more dialog and choices in, it would have been an 11/10 and delivered a campaign experience exceeding that of even Starcraft. I thought the Flashpoint DLC was just a bunch of mini-missions (loved doing the mission that involved the staplers) that reused the existing maps, and that is part of it, but I didn't know there was a nice little campaign buried inside. The Final Mission of the HEAVY METAL Mini-Campaign sees us face three-party Combat, where fratricide between AI Lances is all but assured. Those pilots had some nasty abilities and gear. I just completed the Flashpoint campaign and felt compelled to gush over it.
